Kerry Dunn graduated in 1999 from Ringling College of Art and Design, in Sarasota, Florida, with a degree in illustration. He went on to study for a short period of time at The Art Students League of NY in 2001, and then more extensively with Nelson Shanks at Studio Incamminati, located in Philadelphia from 2002 - 2007.
Kerry lives and works in Philadelphia, PA and teaches in the core program at Studio Incamminati. In addition Kerry also teaches workshops around the country and out of his studio. He is represented by Stanek Gallery in Philadelphia and The Artist Study in Southampton, NY.
Kerry's work is firmly rooted in the academic tradition of figure, portrait, still life and landscape painting. His more recent work seeks to combine all of these genres while also exploring elements of abstract expressionism, intuitive composing, and emotive concepts that relate either to Kerry's personal life or to issues in today's complicated world.
